Discover Pioneer Bible Translators

Discovery is designed for those interested in learning more about Pioneer Bible Translators’ ministries and finding where God might be leading them to serve. Discovery is offered at locations across the country and at our campus in Dallas.

In this first step towards joining our team, you can learn if your gifts, passions and sense of calling is a good fit with Pioneer Bible Translators. You will learn from experienced field missionaries about what it looks like to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

During this course, individuals will:

• Gain a better understanding of the plight of the 1,859 language groups who do not have a single verse of the Bible in their mother tongue
• Discover how one learns a language which has never been written
• Explore ministry roles within Pioneer Bible Translators—Bible Translation, literacy, church planting, ethno arts, mechanics, maintenance, bookkeeping, disciple makers, and more
• Meet missionaries from around the world currently serving with Pioneer Bible Translators and hear their stories
• Learn about the skills necessary for taking the Word of God to the unreached.
• Gain a vision for how you might serve in God’s Kingdom.
• Develop skills in how to cultivate one’s soul on the mission field, fight fears, raise mission support and hear God’s voice.

Upcoming Discovery Events

At different points in the year, typically in the winter or spring, we will teach Discovery at colleges or churches around the U.S.  For those students interested, these are often offered as for-credit courses through the different host schools.
