Papua New Guinea Internship (Administration)

Ministry efforts cannot move forward without the faithful work of those in administration. During the course of the summer, we are offering an internship in Papua New Guinea to 1-2 interns gifted in administration. These interns will work directly with a mentor on the field serving out of the main office in town with the possibility of visiting a remote village. These interns will get to see what working in administration in a cross-cultural context is like, to learn a new language (Melanesian Pidgin), acclimate to and thrive in a South Pacific context, as well as participate in and observe administration tasks from a mentor. Language learning is a very social experience on this internship, as it takes place during regular day activities, such as hiking, hunting, fishing, working in the nationals’ gardens, washing clothes or cooking.

Administration, support work, possible village experience, working amongst individuals from animistic backgrounds

• Not afraid of physically strenuous situations (some villages are quite remote and require day-long hikes and long canoe rides to get to them)
